My big brother is in town and we got to talking about parenting, children and the fuck ups. He doesn't have kids, but we've both had moments of “shit, can't believe our parents did that!”

And I've had those moments too with these young Goddesses. “Shit, I can't believe I did that”

Hola Magical Goddess,
I'm cleansing some warrior wounds as I type these words.

With dance, with ritual, palo Santo and all the guidance (here and beyond) I can muster.
The wounds are still too raw to speak of, but now more than ever the mission is clear. I'll come back to this in a minute.

It's time I've got something off my chest.

I thought being a person who had nuanced thoughts and different ideas about a specific subject made me vanilla and whishy-washy. I thought it was a bad thing.

Surely someone like this could never make a change in the world, surely someone like this was not truly passionate about much, surely someone like this didn't know enough so it was better to just stay silent.

Why is it that we've been so deeply conditioned to believe that a meaningful relationship with with another woman - who see's and welcome's all of you - is not safe?

In order to feel 100% worthy you have to be the one. Number one. The only one. Get a first at uni, win gold, be chosen, reach the top, have the most followers, sell the most, have the biggest launch…I'm calling time of death to that mentality today at 11:30 am.

Building a brand from scratch is not easy. Let alone building a brand that has all the considerations it should have towards the planet and its people. Nowadays it’s the only way. It’s daunting, overwhelming and sometimes you wonder “is it worth it?”.

It is.

You don't need to become something else to be who you truly desire to be. Whether we remember it or not, whether we always appreciate it or not...our ancestors live on in our bodies.

For the uninitiated, Jem and the Holograms ran from 1985 to 1988 and kept gracing our TV’s for 5 more years. There was a horrible movie remake in 2015, but the OTT fashion cartoon was the lifeblood of many millennials.

When you're constantly creating, and you're a creative (we have ideas all the f*cking time) it's easy to loose sight of why you're doing what you're doing. If you know me, you know - I bang on about your WHY being your guiding light but it can get obscured by the clouds of our constant creative ideas. But there's a way around this - there’s always another way…
