Here’s the persmission slip you’ve been waiting for

Hola creative partner in crime,

“Platica mucho en clase” (talks too much in class).

That phrase was drilled into me so much as child that I just went quiet. I became a pretend introvert because if you're quiet you conform to the norms and people like you. Nothing wrong with silence - it's precious - but not when it's a pretend/ conform situation.

Well, I can tell you now - all those comments people told you growing up that were meant to keep you in your box all squished up and small it's exactly where you'll find your truth.

Today, I had the most powerful conversation with world renowned Hay house author, artist and Venusian sorcerer Lisa Lister for her upcoming podcast. 

I'm not going to lie to you. I was nervous. 

Shit, what I'm going to say?! 

What if I forget how to speak English and go blank?? 

What if I say something ‘wrong’??

What if I'm not enough???

I closed my eyes and I saw her…

I kid you not - there was a breeze and the candle I lit for my morning ritual flickered. Please note, the door was closed and there were no windows open.

Fuck. In that moment - I knew I wasn't alone.

And honest to Goddess ‘la que platica mucho’ just took over. 

My hands and my mouth moved like an orchestra conductor alchemising all the wisdom that has been within since before I was born.

“It's an offence to ourselves to dishonour our divinity.” BAM!

“I'm curious, Lisa, what does the fullest expression of joy look like for you?” BOOM!

“If you're a healer, a modern mystic, a creative maverick, a hermit, a misfit, the one that's been bullied to the sidelines…It's time to come out from the shadows and play.” KAHBAM!

“Go on Caro, tell me a story”, she said as she perched her hands on her chin with the innocence of an eager child. And so, I did.

It was OR-GAS-MIC.

It was orgasmic to finally release that story.
